Sitting here on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, about 36 hours after I decided, once and for all, to give this blogging thing a real shot. I’ve been committing my thoughts on RPGs to a closed Discord group for a while now and have accumulated, hopefully, enough discipline, to channel that same energy here. There are many, many things I want to cover and discuss, so bear with me as this blog slowly takes shape. By the time it goes live (I am guestimating late April, early May) I will have moved over most of the old content I wanted to add as well as have a few new things added, like this — the very first post on the new site.

A bit about myself — my name is Ben, I am a native New Yorker (Brooklyn, NYC) and I’ve been involved in RPGs since about 1981. 99% of that time has been spent in the GM/DM/Keeper/Referee’s seat, but I have played on a handful of occasions. So my perspective is definitely going to be skewed towards what works for me as someone that runs a lot of games. The games I am currently running include Call of Cthulhu, WEG Star Wars (1e), AD&D (also 1e), Traveller, and Fabula Ultima; plus a host of smaller arcs with a variety of other games; my list is ever-growing!
