SCENE 01 – Needing someplace safe to heal up and gather information, the crew heads to Hutt Space and pays a surprise visit to Zel Kemirin, a smuggler that has helped HK-47 in the past.
Arriving with the black box taken from the HNTR-GRL 1, Kemirin explains that the unit be trapped with security protocols. After examining the unit, he determines that it is, in fact, protected with an anti-tamper self-destruct mechanism which will require a skilled slicer to hack. Fortunately, Kemirin knows just such a person, a Chikari slicer by the name of Rhugo.
SCENE 02 – Whilst talking w Kemirin, an alarm goes off and Kemerin races to a star map display and intently watches something he is tracking as it moves across the galaxy.
Kemerin explains that he is tracking his twin brother, Lon Kemirin, a scientist that is being held hostage by Commander Dessik; the crew explains that they are trying to track down Dessik themselves.
Kemirin tells them that Lon wears a biotracker which enables him to know Dessik’s precise location as Dessik keeps Lon very close to hand; Kemirin will not say what field of science his brother is in, nor why Dessik needs him so close, but they guess it has something to do with the lockdown of the Velmore system, and perhaps the communication capsule he wants to purchase from Essami Graven…
The crew promises to rescue Lon from Dessik in exchange for the tracking information and Kemirrin agrees.
SCENE 03 – The tracker indicates that Dessik has left Velmore and headed to the IEGO system.
Kemirin has no clue why Dessik would leave Velmore suddenly and head to Iego.
Rhugo looks at the black box and says he can bypass the self-destruct protocols but the price will be high — higher than the crew has on hand. They work out a deal with Rhugo where Rhugo will sell the information in the black box to the Hutts (who will likely hunt Baize as she has been interfering with Hutt operations and taking out their bounty hunters as well) in exchange for extracting the Imperial transponder codes. The crew agrees.
SCENE 04 – Kane reaches out to Val Daivik and tells him about Gar Draji and the Mantelli Separatist Movement wanting to meet.
Daivik tells Kane that there are issues in Ort Mantel as their senator, Raina Pavin is corrupt and possibly playing both sides against the middle. Daivik advises Kane to steer clear of Pavin, but Kane tells him that the MSM is keeping tabs on his daughter, Lissandra. Daivik is reluctant to get between the MSM and Pavin but says he will see what he can do and will get back to Kane.
SCENE 05 – Rhugo is able to extract the information safely from HNTR GRL-1‘s black box and sells the information on to the Hutts.
The crew, now rested and ready for action once again, sets course to Sith space to deliver the cargo of Ysalimari eggs before they hatch.
