Coldeven 24 – Horus is brought before a tribunal inquest at the Grand Temple of Attas (accompanied by Eammon). The tribunal is presided by Berim, Marshal of the Temple of Attas, high ranking priest and leader of the Order of Enlightened Ones sect/Mystery Cult; Yandrahla, a high ranking member of the Temple; and one of the Hounds of Attas, fanatical acolytes that ritually blind themselves, greatly enhancing their supernatural ability to smell shifts in cosmic alignment.

The tribunal is called to order and states that after much prayer and consultation, there does not seem to be a ready cure for the curse that has afflicted Horus. The Marshal cannot have a cursed paladin in the citadel, however, and advises him to go on a selfless quest in which Attas will reveal what Horus must do to break the curse, and perhaps also fulfill Horus’ promise to Margaret, the trapped soul in the Hidden Library running from the mysterious Grey Librarians.

Eammon, who bears testimony to Horus’ account, is tasked with accompanying Horus on this quest and keeping him on the side of Law and Good.

Coldeven 26 – Piety gathers the party together at the orchard in Thorpe to celebrate the life of their fallen comrade, Hans, the Gentleman Thief. The day is cool and rainy. The party spreads seeds in Hans’ honor, in accordance with the funeral rites of the goddess Pantazis, and he is buried with a sapling, which will grow, nourished by Hans’ decaying remains, and in turn, provide food for future generations.

Searching the city for anyone that knew Hans, Piety finds an ancient miner named Beardsly who goes on a drunken rant/rambling about Hans and how he told Hans of a secret location in the mines which is now part of a cover up from the High Council. Most view this is as just rambling, but Zarka conceals a surprised expression.

Hans is buried with a new set of thieves’ tools, something he could never possess in his waking life.

Coldeven 28 – As the week of Growfest begins, Zarka is tasked by his master, Wallifrond Whibmistle, to take the Prismatic Beacon he acquired Eastwards, to the ancient kingdom of Belistra. There he is to seek out the burial chamber of King Axanar, which legends say is deep within his fortress tower hanging beneath an inaccessible cliff on the shores of the Peliast Sea.

Zarka is to retrieve the Crown of Axanar, which Whibmistle believes greatly enhances the mental ability of the wearer and amplifies the power of the Prismatic Beacon, showing the way to uncovering the hidden location of the Star-Fallen in Ondroia. This, in turn, brings the Order one step closer to uncovering the secrets to immortality.

Whibmistle says that legends tell of the fall of Belistra during the Fall and how Axanar’s fortress fell under the control of a winged horror named Aglais, The Burning Shadow.

Whibmistle provides Zarka with an ancient map as well as the Prismatic Beacon.

Zarka goes to the party members in turn and asks for their help in this quest. The party then makes their plans for the journey East.

Planting 2 – After making the necessary preparations and hiring the coarse pack handler, Ualosk, the party heads out of the city on their quest.
