SCENE 01 – The team separates to cover as much ground as they can before Ascension, which is going to take place in two days.

Apollo 6 attempts to translate the book recovered from the Children of Annu; calling on his friend, Thomas-3, Thomas is untrained in such matters and is unable to offer much help in deciphering the pictograms.

SCENE 02 – Simon-6 speaks with Anna-5 and learns that all of the Children of Annu, who naturally possess the enzyme Apollo was able to synthesize, have had a type of genetic memory awakened in them: they are all awakened to the fact that Ascension is coming and that the Annunaki are going to be returning.

Simon becomes aware that the Central Intelligence seems to be feeding both the Sandmen and the Children of Annu guiding information, putting them at odds with one another, but also leaking information about Ascension for some end that they do not understand. It is as if the Central Intelligence is shepherding both sides to a specific location at a specific time for some as-yet unknown purpose…

Simon offers to rescue Anna if she leads him to the Ascension Point. Anna tells Simon that it is five miles southeast of the Domed City.

SCENE 03 – Phoenix-6 discovers that the terminal below the city where he found the underground monorail tracks is on a closed system. Returning to the station far below the Domed City, Phoenix discovers the remains of a large encampment, now abandoned; whoever was once camped here has now left.

Following the monorail tracks until he can see daylight ahead, Phoenix sees that the exit is guarded by six Cubs. He returns back to Sandman HQ.

SCENE 04 – That night, Phoenix arranges for Simon to remove Anna-5 from her cell and she leads him to the Acension Point; there is a large sign which reads Kennedy Observation Satellite.

Ascension Point is a large launch site facility with two enormous rocket ships on a launchpad. One of the rockets has fuel lines tethered to it and is exhausting plumes of ice-cold smoke. Inside the control room, it bustles with dozens of the Children of Annu preparing for departure at dawn.

The other Sandmen track Anna-5 and Simon-6, following them to Ascension Point.
