SCENE 01 – Moriarity and Taylor head to Cairo General and thanks to the assistance of Ishaq Rahad are able to gain access to the room where Ahmed al-Dhahabi is being kept under watchful guard by the Cairo police.
When they enter the al-Dhahabi’s room, they see that al-Dhahabi’s personal attendant, Mohammud Asad, is there as well. The team learns that it was Asad who fought of the monstrous creature that attacked the Knights of Ibn Tulun using the Sword of Akmahhallah, an ancient artifact of the Knights. Asad was able to wound the creature and chase it back to the Bent Pyramid, but he was accosted by Walkers in the Sand, which caused his horse to throw him. Asad was able to escape and return to the mosque, however.

The creature was able to steal the Girdle of Nitocris from the Knights of Ibn Tulun, who have guarded it and kept it secret for 4,000 years. The team now knows that al-Shakti/Senet possess all three artifacts required to resurrect Queen Nitocris. The only thing remaining is to wait until the new moon in 13 days’ time.
After speaking with al-Dhahabi and expressing their goal to stop the Brotherhood of the Black Pharaoh, al-Dhahabi has Moriarity swear the oath of the Knights of Ibn Tulun and gifts him the Sword of Akmallah, which he says can open many doors for them in the Muslim world.

Wassif sits for a moment, considering, a look of hesitation on his face. He then cuts the string wrapping the package and starts reading Adler’s journal …
