SCENE 01 – The soldiers for Operation: Cigar Box break into three teams — Silverstone and Price, Woolworth and Chumway, and Green and Fink, and head in different directions.
Silverstone and Price work their way eastward looking for a passageway south when they hear the sound of automatic gunfire. Proceeding east towards the sound, they see Chumway limping along the corridor towards them calling for help.
As Chumway gets closer they can see that it’s not Chumway at all, but a near-likeness of him, and the limping isn’t caused by an injury, but rather because the creature’s right leg is extremely thin and spindly. The Chumway-thing as moved the mass from its leg into both hands, which are distended into long, wedge-shaped appendages.
The Chumway-thing catches Price by surprise and hits Price in the head, nearly killing him with a single blow. Silverstone opens fire on the Chumway-thing before fleeing westward.
SCENE 02 – Green and Fink work their way past an abandoned barracks, the room looking like it was hit by a natural disaster. Heading south, they find themselves in a large chamber. On the far wall is a metal, concave wall split into two large doors, vaguely egg-shaped. Knowing that the artifact they are looking for is egg-shaped, the open the doors with some effort.
The doors are only partially open when something immense inside the metal tank in which it was kept slams open the doors and starts to climb out. Green and Price see massive cloven feet from a triangular base grip the bottom edge of the doorway as a huge creature starts pulling itself from the tank, Green and Price frozen in fear.

Skittering across the chamber floor, Fink runs to the exit, stopping to see Green has stayed behind to fight the thing if he can. The thing reaches forth with one of its appendages and Green lights a stick of dynamite and tries to dodge out of the way, but the creature is surprisingly swift and kills Green instantly. Fink is snapped out of her terror when she sees the dynamite, still lit, roll across the floor.
Running as fast as he can, Fink avoids the worst of the blast but the ceiling caves in, a chunk of concrete slamming into him. The passage behind is caved in, however.
SCENE 03 – Chumway and Woolworth work their way eastwards and find several dead German soldiers in the passageway. It opens up into a large mining pit, exposed crystals giving off a faint bluish tint. They locate a door on the north wall but are unable to open it.
Hearing the sound of skittering in the darkness, Chumway and Woolworth are attacked by two more Dwellers in the dark. Woolworth is able to make quick work of them, but before they can celebrate, their light goes out, succumbing to the coldness.

Plunged into darkness, Chumway and Woolworth get separated. They then hear Price calling out to them in the darkness directing them towards the passageway. Immediately suspicious, Woolworth asks “Price” a question only he would know, and the Price-thing fails. Woolworth fires in direction of the creature in the darkness, grazing it with bullets.
The Price-thing moves past Woolworth in the dark and descends upon Chumway, lying the dark, it’s wedge-like appendage driving into the base of Chumway’s neck and severing his spinal cord, killing him instantly.
Woolworth fires more bullets into the Price-thing before it retreats into the darkness and Woolworth flees the mining chamber.
SCENE 04 – It is a tense reunion when the soldier meet back up, all of them unsure if anyone one of them is an impostor. Eventually, they head northwards together and enter the main laboratory. There they find a large cabinet and within it sits a large, egg-shaped stone. Hoses run out of the cabinet into two large Tesla coils.
Silverstone prepares his flesh with a spell and then removes the egg, causing the Tesla coils to discharge and nearly electrocuting himself in the process.
Fink is able to administer some first aid to Price, but it is essentially palliative care as Price’s skull has been smashed into several, free-floating pieces. Fink knows that if he makes it off the base, he will not survive the trip back.
The team exits the laboratory and works their way back down the slope. They are able to fend off the Dwellers during the long, cold night, and the next day ascend towards their rendezvous point.
