Dateline: 24 April 1925 – SCENE 01 – Arriving in Mombassa, Asad, Ishaq Rahad, and Ms Shosenberg ride by motorcycle sidecar from the British military aerodome to the city proper.

SCENE 02- Arriving at the Castle Hotel, Asad notices that they are being followed by a teenager who appears to be of Indian heritage. After a brief chase, they catch the boy, who says that he was sent by his aunt to watch after the Investigators. Something in the boy’s story does not ring true, and the Investigators offer him money to keep quiet.

SCENE 03 – Dateline: 25 April 1925 – Ms Shosenberg sends a detailed telegram to Ramsey Campbell in New York and the team lies low waiting for the Ugandan Railway train that will take them from Mombassa to Nairobi. Entering the train poses on problem, and the trip goes smoothly until they are one hour south of Nairobi.

SCENE 04 – The passengers awaken to a raging fire in the first class compartment of the train. The conductor assumes it was caused by someone smoking and falling asleep, but Asad spies the true source: an Indian woman is standing atop the train, summoning Fire Vampires.

SCENE 05 – A concerted effort is spent to try and stop the fire, but Asad climbs atop the train and tries to talk the woman into surrendering. The woman casts Strike Blind upon Asad and his eyes melt within his head. He blindly struggles with the woman, but when someone pulls the dead man’s handle on the train, they are both thrown clear.

SCENE 06 – Once the authorities arrive, Asad is rushed to the Nairobi State Hospital, accompanied by Ishaq Rahad. The others are largely unharmed. The woman that caused the fire is not to be found.
