DATELINE: 23 MAY 1925 – SCENE 01 – The next morning, the team meets up discusses the plan for the seance. The decision is made to see if they can procure pituri for the seance, as that is believed to enhance magical properties and altered states of consciousness. The team decides to ask if Mdme Helga has access to pituri.

SCENE 02 – Chesterfield and Allen go to Mdme Helga’s tent, and Chesterfield asks her to join them for dinner. Mdme Helga seems to interpret this as a dinner date and gladly accepts. Mdme Helga says that she does have some pituri, which she acquired from an Australian aborigine.

SCENE 03 – That evening, Chesterfield introduces Mdme Helga to the team, and she wastes no time in asking a great many very pointed questions about their activities and interests.

Ishaq Rahad sees the mystery woman once again and this time the team decides to go with him. Ishaq Rahad says he saw the woman walking with a man on the deck, but they seemed to vanish into thin air. The team decides to keep a vigilant eye out for this mystery woman, whom Ishaq Rahad can still not identify positively, but cannot shake the feeling that he has seen her somewhere else.

SCENE 04 – That night, Ishaq Rahad and Muhammad Asad have a shared dream; they are in the Underworld and see a massive black temple in the distance. They approach it and gain entrance inside under the watchful gaze of living gargoyles atop the temple’s roof.

Entering inside they meet a wizened priest of Nodens named Nugguth Yugg, who sleeps upon a filthy palette in a corner of the temple. Nugguth Yugg explains to Ishaq Rahad and Asad about events that have transpired in the Dreamlands since the great war that took place — the evil was driven back for a time but has not been rising again. Nugguth Yugg sees a connection between their mission in the Waking World and the events in the Dreamlands.

After consulting with Nodens, Nugguth Yugg tells the men that he can help them in their fight. Asad needs to get the Black Blade of Ubboth from the Temple of Mnomquah. He can then take the blade to the Star Shaped Tower in the City in the Clouds and will obtain what he needs to restore his sight. However, the Temple of Mnomquah is located on the Moon and is heavily guarded by serpent people.

Ishaq Rahad volunteers to return to the Waking World and look after Asad’s body while he goes on this Dream Quest. Nugguth Yugg calls down two Nightgaunts from the roof of the temple and they begin their journey to the Moon.
