SCENE 01 – Grekov and Susan make their way to the dark port city of Dyleth-Leen, the buildings carved from black stones and giving off an ominous air.
Heading straight to the port, the pair comes across a ship belonging to a Sarnathian wine merchant and several tall, statuesque Sarnath passengers. They are able to charm their way onboard the merchant ship bound for Celephais.
SCENE 02 – Parker and Whitney, aboard the black ship, stow away, and eventually work their way into the crew. The eventually forget about the Waking World altogether and take to riding with the sailors having many adventures on the Cerenarian Sea, losing track of time and purpose as they slip fully into the Dreamlands.
SCENE 03 – Grekov and Susan arrive in the wondrous city of Celephais and seek out the Endless Library. After months of research, Grekov learns where the Hidden City is located and that Hesper Payne possesses the silver key they need in order to return to the Waking World.

As the months turn into years, Grekov and Susan hear of Parker and Whiney’s exploits and when they hear that the black ship is going to anchor at Celephais, they plan to reunite with them. Unable to resist games of chance, Grekov has posters set around Celephais challenging them. When Parker and Whitney arrive at a seaside tavern, Grekov and Susan are hard pressed to get them to recall the Waking World at all, as it now seems like the dream compared to this reality.
SCENE 04 – It has now been 2 years in the Dreamlands since the friends arrived and Grekov is able to convince Parker and Whitney to awaken and head off Jameson in the Waking World while they try to enlist the aid of King Kuranes.
After several petitions, Grekov and Susan are granted an audience with King Kuranes at his estate on the transformed area beneath Mount Aran, dreamed to look like his beloved Cornwall-on-the-Sea in the Waking world.
Once the situation is explained to Kuranes, he offers them the use of his flying carpet, which will speed them to the Hidden City undetected.
SCENE 05 – Dateline: Sunday, 29 April, 1900 – Re-entering the Waking World, Parker and Whitney find themselves in the abandoned Watley Imports warehouse. Larkin and Evangeline are on the floor, unconscious and drugged.
Parker breaks down the door as the sound of police sirens nears. Looking down into the gloom of the warehouse from the elevated room, Parker sees Jameson escape through the rear of the building. He runs after Jameson, leaving Whitney with the others.
